“NOW THANK WE ALL OUR GOD!” (Martin Rinkart)

Now Thank we all our God, with whom this world rejoices;

Who from our mother’s arms, has blessed us on our way

with countless gifts of love, and still is ours today.

Oh may this bounteous God through all our life be near us

with ever joyful hearts and blessed peace to cheer us;

and keep us in His Grace, and guid us when perplexed,

and guard us through all ills in this world, till the next!

All praise and thanks to God the Father now be given,

The Son, and She Wo reigns with Them in highest heaven –

The one eternal God, whom earth and Heaven adore;

For thus it was, is now, and shall be evermore.”

Thanks be to God for good friends and enemies; for peace and war, for the paradox of life; for healthy food as and for junk food; for birth, life and death. Thanks be to God for the universe and for this very small planet in one of trillions of Galaxies. Thanks be to God for the ongoing transformation of all that is; for life itself, constantly evolving and growing – from the smallest seeds of consciousness found in quarks, atoms, molecules, cells and organisms of wonderful and surprising shapes, sizes, and colors. Thanks be to God foe each and every day, filled with the unexpected and evidence of life unfolding, all connected by and with love that binds everything together. Thanks be to God for joy and sorrow; for laughter and for tears, for dancing and singing, for good wine and music. Thanks be to God for all that is and all that is becoming; for loving Creation enough to jumping in and sharing life, teaching us how to become more human each and every moment of each and every day. Thanks for the sunlight and the darkness; for warm days and for storms; for mountains to climb and for valleys to enjoy. Thanks for all that has been, is, and will be and for walking with us on our common journey of life.

Thank you for becoming food and healing for others and for me. Peace always, knowing that our journey is indeed the journey shared by a loving God.
